Background- Kenya's built environment is undergoing rapid transformation driven by regulatory reforms, technological advancement, urbanisation and evolving market demands. While these changes create new opportunities, they also present significant challenges to professional practice. Feedback from AAK members highlights concerns over declining adherence to professional fees, delayed payments, weak regulatory enforcement, quackery, inadequate recognition of emerging professions and increasing pressure on professional services. In response, AAK proposes a one-day CPD programme bringing together regulators, policymakers, industry leaders and practitioners to explore practical solutions that strengthen professional regulation, enhance business sustainability and prepare professionals for a competitive and rapidly changing built environment.
